Background

Aviro Pocket Clinic (APC) empowers patients with accessible and engaging semi-automated support, reporting, and linkage to services via mobile phones or devices in facilities for services like HIV Counselling and Testing. APC supports patients to achieve concrete health outcomes through carefully crafted medical content and proven user flows, managed and delivered through a multi-channel platform (Webapp, offline app, and WhatsApp chatbots) with robust data and analytics capabilities, so that counsellors can focus on the cases that require specialised in-person support.

We Are Looking for a Junior UX/UI Designer Who Can:

As a Junior UX/UI Designer at Aviro Health, you'll be responsible for collecting and translating user insights into delightful experiences. Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing, beautiful features that address our client’s and product’s needs. You will use your creativity and eye for design – along with your technical knowledge – to develop great experiences. You'll work with and learn from an experienced product and development team.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements through user testing or user research, in collaboration with the various business teams
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Design graphic digital user interface elements for mobile, web and bots
  • Optimise existing user interface designs
  • Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centred
  • solutions
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function or products function
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Support QA and testing of new features in the business product

Minimum Requirements for the Position:

  • A portfolio of design projects
  • Some work experience as a UI/UX designer or similar role
  • Experience with user research and translating insights from research to your designs
  • Expertise in standard design software such as Sketch, Figma, Invision and Adobe Creative Studio
  • A detailed oriented person who has good time management skills and is able to work
  • independently when needed
  • A Qualification in Design (Visual/Graphic/Communications), Computer Science or relevant field

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications for the Position: (these are advantageous but not required for the position)

  •  Previous experience working in the digital health or technology industry
  • Understanding of front-end development principles and execution
